Qvadis Releases eBestseller List for 2002

Toronto, ON - 31 December 2002 - Qvadis, developer of the award-winning Express Reader and Lexica software for Palm powered handhelds, and winner of the first Innovative Technology Achievement Award from the Digital Literature Institute, has released the Qvadis eBestseller List for 2002.

Topping the fiction list is Hugo and Nebula Award winner Beggars in Spain by Nancy Kress, published by Fictionwise, a landmark tale of genetic engineering, and one of the most critically acclaimed science fiction novellas of all time. The nonfiction list is headed by Inside Job by Stephen Pizzo, Mary Fricker and Paul Muolo, published by e-reads, an engrossing investigative report into the $500B savings and loan scandal.

"Express Reader continues to be the open-format reader of choice for the handheld ebook community," said Sam Peralta, CEO of Qvadis. "And we're gratified to see publishers and authors continuing to embrace open-format platforms, as highlighted in our eBestseller List."

Along with the Qvadis eBook Library - currently the largest archive of free Doc-format e-texts, with over 6,000 titles - Qvadis offers thousands of titles for sale in partnership with leading epublishers and distributors. The Qvadis eBestseller List represents Express Reader-compatible ebooks with the highest net sales for 2002.
