Qvadis Up for Innovative Technology Achievement at E-Book Awards

Toronto, ON - 17 June 2002 - Qvadis has been shortlisted for the Innovative Technology Achievement Award by the Digital Literature Institute, organizer of the 2002 Independent e-Book Awards.

Recognized as "the Sundance of e-book awards", the Awards were founded to recognize the year's outstanding e-books in fiction and non-fiction. Achievement Awards were introduced this year to recognize body of work and commitment to the field of digital literature.

Qvadis' nomination is for Innovative Technology Achievement, presented for the development of software, hardware or technical information that benefits the field of digital literature.

Qvadis is best known for its popular, award-winning Express Reader ebook viewer for Palm powered handhelds, which has won numerous Editor's Choice awards in industry magazines and on the Web. Recently, Qvadis introduced Lexica, a powerful reference viewer, dictionary and multilingual translator for the Palm OS platform.

In addition, Qvadis also offers an extensive ebook library and bookstore with over 10,000 available titles, and its recently-acquired Editio-Books subsidiary publishes original content for handheld devices.

Final award winners will be announced at a special ceremony on November 2, 2002 as part of the Digital Literature Festival in Santa Barbara, California.
