Qvadis Launches New Version of Express Reader

Toronto, ON - 24 January 2001 - Qvadis announces the release of version 2.00 of Express Reader Pro, the award-winning all-in-one desktop publishing tool and palmtop e-text reader.

The desktop module, Express Reader DX, now enables users to directly view, edit and convert Microsoft Word files to Qvadis format for the Palm - without the need to save the file in an intermediate format. This powerful function complements DX's existing built-in converters for text, rich text, and HTML. Also enhanced for this version: DX's extensive interactive Windows-based Help facility.

The Palm-side viewer, Express Reader GT, enhances color compatibility and is now compatible with documents in Flash memory, including support for Handspring Flash Modules for Visor, TRG's FlashPro software and Brayder Technologies' JackFlash for Palm-powered handhelds. Express Reader GT remains the most intuitive Palm reader, with the most user-configurable options for reading clarity (fonts, linespace, scroll, autoscroll), enhanced bookmarks, advanced search capabilty, categories, beaming, private records, and color support.

In addition to its popular Express Reader applications, Qvadis also provides a Library with over 4000 free e-texts, an InterLibrary resource of over 125 reviewed sites for Palm e-books, industry news and other features. With all these features and a slew of awards behind it - including accolades from Yahoo! Mobile, Lycos, Excite, ZDNet, CNet, PDAGeek, MemoWare, and more - Express Reader Pro remains the industry's premier integrated PC-Palm Doc tool. Recently, Qvadis added e-publishing to its offerings via its acquisition of leading Palm e-publisher Editio-Books.com.
